How to get to Suzdal

If you want to reach Suzdal by yourself we recommend you to take first a train and then a bus.

The most convenient transport in Moscow is Metro. To get to the city from any international airport of Moscow take an Aeroexpress train.

There are no direct trains from Moscow to Suzdal. First go to Vladimir. Trains depart to Vladimir from Kurskaya Railway Station in Moscow (Metro Station Kurskaya). Buy tickets at the regional short-distance train ticket counter. It is possible to book a ticket at the web site: http://pass.rzd.ru/main-pass/public/en or http://www.russianrail.com/. There are several daily departures with the earliest at 8:12 am.

Direct buses depart from Vladimir to Suzdal every thirty minutes (except 11:30 am). Buses going to Ivanovo also pass through.

Vladimir Bus Station is about 50 meters from the Railway Station. Purchase a bus ticket at the ticket counter. The bus ticket is valid up to Suzdal bus Station (avtovokzal), which is located 2 kilometers from the city centre. Some of these buses will continue on to the city centre.
